VIN (Vehicle identification number) – уникальный идентификационный номер автомобиля, в котором
зашифрована полная информация о его технических характеристиках, годе производства,
производителе и т.д. Этот код состоит из 17 символов, которые структурированы на 3 части –
всемирный индекс изготовителя (WMI), описательная (VDS) и отличительная (VIS) части. Неопытные
автовладельцы часто задаются вопросом о том, как узнать VIN автомобиля или где его найти. В

Где найти ВИН-код машины?

Прежде всего, стоит знать, что идентификационный номер в обязательном порядке отражается в
документах на транспортное средство (ТС):

Это самый простой способ. Но если вы решили купить подержанную машину, а продавец под каким-то
предлогом не хочет говорить вам VIN, его вы можете посмотреть и самостоятельно при осмотре ТС.
Также стоит сразу обозначить, что сокрытие ВИН-кода может свидетельствовать о наличии скрытых
проблем (авто с ограничениями, в залоге или вообще с криминальной историей). Поэтому будьте

Где находится VIN-код в автомобиле?

Как правило, идентификационный номер выбит на специальной номерной табличке (шильдике), которая
крепится заклепками к неразъемным составляющим кузова. Традиционные места расположения ВИН-кода:

Левая верхняя часть инструментальной панели (хорошо просматривается через лобовое стекло) –
встречается на современных моделях.
Передняя левая стойка кузова.
На американских авто VIN, чаще всего, находится на торпедо с водительской стороны (место
примыкания лобового стекла и капота) и дублируется на шильдике в проеме двери.
Под капотом – ГБЦ или сам блок цилиндров, перегородка между салоном и мотором.
Под обивкой пола около водительского сиденья.
На машинах с рамной конструкцией код часто расположен на лонжеронах.

Дублирование кода в разных местах производители выполняют для того, чтобы покупатель смог без
особых усилий и привлечения посторонних лиц идентифицировать транспортное средство и
минимизировать риск приобретения краденного авто.

Также следует знать, что идентификационный номер практически всегда располагается в
труднодоступных местах, чтобы минимизировать возможность его перебивки. Поэтому если вы
подбираете себе авто, тщательно осмотрите все места, где нанесен ВИН, и сравните идентичность
кодов. Особое внимание уделите участкам кузова, где закреплен шильдик – номерную табличку на

Как проверить авто по VIN

Итак, с помощью VIN-кода вы можете легко узнать об автомобиле полезную информацию.

В частности, можно выяснить:

Когда автомобиль был поставлен на учёт и сколько раз переоформлялся;
Не числится ли машина в угоне или в розыске;
Участвовал ли автомобиль в ДТП;
Не находится ли машина в залоге или под арестом.

При покупке поддержанного автомобиля категорически не рекомендуется пренебрегать такой проверкой. Для этого нужно воспользоваться одним из соответствующих сервисов в Интернете. Подробнее об этом — здесь.

Помимо прочего, VIN также поможет выяснить, когда и по какому поводу предыдущий владелец обращался в сервис. По крайней мере, если речь идёт об официальном дилере или просто цивилизованном автосервисе, где имеется в наличии база данных клиентов и их машин.

Можно ли подделать VIN? Теоретически — да. Но сделать это не так просто, и, скорее всего, следы «переделки» можно будет заметить. Например, в переделанном коде отдельные символы могут отличаться от остальных по глубине или иным признакам. Возможно наличие следов сварки возле номера. Не забывайте о том, что VIN всегда наносится в разные места автомобиля, и злоумышленникам пришлось бы тщательно переделывать не один, а несколько кодов.

Кроме того, простая проверка может показать, что VIN принадлежит автомобилю другой марки или другого года выпуска. Единственный способ избежать такого простейшего разоблачения — не просто изменить VIN на какой-то другой, например, «доработав» букву на похожую, а подобрать код с машины той же модели и того же года, что делает процесс подделки более сложным.

Если на машине нет VIN-кода

Автомобиль может не иметь VIN-кода только в двух случаях. Во-первых, если машина очень старая. Впервые VIN появился в США в 70-х годах прошлого века. Остальные страны «подтянулись» несколько позже. Поэтому если вы покупаете, например, кабриолет из 50-х, то отсутствие VIN — нормальное явление. Проблем с постановкой такой машины на учёт не будет.

Во-вторых, VIN может отсутствовать на японских автомобилях, произведённых для внутреннего рынка.

В обоих случаях идентификация такого автомобиля будет производиться по номеру его кузова.

VIN-код может не отсутствовать полностью, а просто оказаться повреждённым в результате ДТП или коррозии. В таким случае сотрудники ГИБДД могут отказать в регистрации.

В этом случае потребуется прохождение специальной экспертизы и нанесение на автомобиль дополнительной маркировки.

Схема действий здесь следующая. Сначала следует обратиться в МРЭО ГИБДД, где автомобиль осмотрят и проверят. Если выяснится, что машина не угнана, то сотрудники выдадут автомобилисту направление на экспертизу и пометят автомобиль специальными бирками. Дальше нужно отправиться в аккредитованную организацию, которая эту экспертизу выполняет. Список таких компаний из вашего региона можно посмотреть в Интернете. Там на машину нанесут новую маркировку и выдадут специальное свидетельство.

Следует иметь в виду, что самостоятельный ремонт повреждённого VIN-кода – незаконен. К тому же, следы ремонта, вероятнее всего, будут заметны визуально. При перерегистрации такой машины у инспектора могут возникнуть подозрения о том, что она была угнана. Кроме того, подобную деятельность могут квалифицировать по статье 326 УК РФ – «Подделка идентификационного номера транспортного средства». Она предусматривает ответственность от штрафа (максимум 80 000 руб.) до лишения свободы сроком на два года (три если участвовала группа лиц).

Alternately, you might notice that the plate is much cleaner than the rest of the firewall, which is a sign the plate is fake.^[18]
